The pulleys on the front of your engine can be replaced with lightweight and smaller aftermarket pieces. The result is a reduction in rotating mass and less drain from your vehicle’s accessories. Lightening and reducing this resistance can increase the efficiency of your motor. Lighter weight pulleys are suitable for all vehicles. Smaller pulleys should only be used on race cars as they will affect your vehicle’s ability to charge and operate accessories. A dampened crank pulley is highly recommended on modified engines to dampen harmful vibrations from the crank.
