The Haltech Platinum Pro Harness System for the Nissan GT-R (R35) showcases the future in engine management, allowing complete engine control over engine software once thought to be completely locked. Haltech’s goal was to offer a competitively priced standalone option to provide all of the engine control features of a true standalone ECU while retaining the drivability of an mostly stock vehicle. The Platinum Pro kit interfaces with the factory ECU and CAN system to allow for factory-like diagnostics and troubleshooting while still controlling all essential engine tasks, like fuel delivery, ignition timing, boost levels, and camshaft positioning.
This package is sold as an ECU with plug and play harness. Also included is a USB connection cable and software CD.
The Platinum series, with 32-bit 55 MHz processor, uses a very user-friendly tuning interface that is capable with Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows 7. Communication is also fed through USB cable, so no need to worry about outdated serial connections. Onboard and laptop data logging is easily viewed through Haltech software. All software and firmware updates are free and readily available online at www.haltech.com.
