Haltech has authorized a special sale for all of their Platinum series ECUs for the remainder of June! Take $100 off the price of any ECU or plug-in kit until June 30th, 2011. These prices have already been reflected on our online store. This comes as good news for any potential Haltech customers, as pricing changes are coming for Haltech in July, which will result in noticeable price increases. If you are in the market for a Haltech ECU, these will likely be the lowest prices available for the rest of the year!
* Includes Sprint 500, Sport 1000, Sport 2000, and Platinum Pro ECU kits
* Does not other Haltech accessories, such as wiring kits without ECUs
* Limited to inventory availability
Haltech has also announced the arrival of several new items that we will be featuring over the coming months. The long awaited input/output CAN expander box for existing Platinum ECUs will allow for additional sensors to be used with your standalone. Even better, this will be backwards compatible with existing Platinum Pro kits, including the Nissan 350Z box!
Other new items include a Platinum Pro kit for the AP1 S2000, a Platinum Sport GM ECU, to replace the dated E6GMX, and additional ignitor and thermocouple amplifier products.
In less than a month, Injected Performance will travel to Fontana Village, NC for the annual Zdayz meet, just outside of the Tail of the Dragon. We have been a sponsor of this great meet for five consecutive years and enjoy it each and every time.
The event itself lasts from May 19th through the 22nd, with the majority of events occurring on Friday and Saturday. The overall culture of the meet reflects a “for enthusiasts, by enthusiasts” attitude, with a loosely formatted schedule, a college-like campus of log cabins, and isolation from the rest of civilization, leaving only enthusiasts, their cars, and wonderful roads. This combination yields a great experience for anyone who enjoys to have fun amongst new friends from across the east coast.
This year, our sponsored event is a Frisbee Golf Tournament at the on-site frisbee golf course of Fontana Village, a well kept secret apparently. In addition, we will feature our usual tents and booths, hosting our full staff, dozens of products on display, and a few select cars to be checked out.
If you plan on attending and have not already made reservations, please do so immediately! Fontana Village quickly sells out and there are limited accomodations available in the surrounding areas. Although the cabins may already be sold out, hotel rooms are usually available for much longer. For first timers, we recommend bringing some extra food and beverages, as the on-site provisions are sometimes scarce, especially if you often crave midnight snacks. We find it most convenient to bring a grill and some wholesale burgers and hot dogs - you’ll quickly make lots of new friends!
Once you have your reservation, don’t forget to register for Zdayz itself, which will provide you with a Zdayz t-shirt, lots of free vendor swag, entries to the $1,000’s worth of product raffles, and some free meals. We will be raffling off several great items, including a GoPro Motorsports HD Hero and a set of ARP L19 Head Studs for the VQ35!
See you there!

Through a bulk purchase, Injected Performance is now able to offer the extreme high-flowing in-tank fuel pump found from the Bugatti Veyron. This pump has been verified to flow 800 whp on our own Dyno Dynamics dyno, powering a shop Nissan 350Z to a 9.3 second quarter mile with supporting modifications. Compact and reliable, this fuel pump will out-flow any single fuel pump currently on the market. Installation for most vehicles is straightforward, however, we ask that customers contact us to discuss exact usage and fitment. Basic filter kits are available upon request.

Recently, several new contenders have entered the high flow, high pressure fuel pump market for in-tank solutions. Of course, the reining popular choice is the Walbro 255 LPH pump, which is able to fit in countless fuel pump hangers with minor adjustments or small installation kits.
Deatschwerks and Aeromotive, two companies that are experienced in fuel delivery, have thrown their name into the ring with 300 LPH and 340 LPH, respectively, in-tank fuel pump solutions. As this featured chart shows, the actual flow data is slightly different from what is being claimed, so we want to make sure each customer is educated.
Upon taking a look at the physical size of each pump, we find that there was no reason to “fix what isn’t broken” - the size and shape of the Walbro GSS342 pump is tried and true, so there was no reason to modify the housing size. We should make it very clear at this point that Aeromotive and Deatschwerks are not relabeling Walbro products. These are independently produced offerings.
The exact pumps shown are the Walbro GSS342, Deatschwerks 9-301, and Aeromotive 11142 (in order). Each measures identically in length and diameter. Inlet and outlet positions are the same for these particular pumps, although we will discuss that further shortly. The connector plug is also the same on each of the pumps.
With each of these three in-tank pumps, the fuel line inlet and filter mount outlet are “in-line” with each other, meaning they are on the same side of the pump itself. However, this is not the ideal fitment for every fuel pump hanger, so the Walbro GSS341 style of pump offers the alternative inlet/outlet orientation, as explained by this picture:
With all of this said, let’s look at the pros and cons of each offering.
- Tried and true for many years
- Approximately half the price of the new Aeromotive and Deatschwerks pump
- Still a solid performer for many applications under 500-550 whp
- Broad fitment for many different applications
- Limited warranty
- Loud whine while in use
- Proven higher flow than Walbro 255 LPH
- Three year manufacturer’s warranty
- Much more quiet in operation due to different turbine design
- Only the “342 style” orientation is offered, limiting total fitment options
- Even higher proven flow than Walbro 255 LPH
- Limited warranty
- Offered in “341″, “342″, and even “340 (center inlet) styles”
At this point, Injected Performance is not playing favorites. Walbro also has a yet-to-be-seen 300+ LPH pump that will be debuted, and only sparse long term testing has been done for the newest pumps. Our personal experiences with them in testing thus far has been positive, but it may be several years before there are as many testimonials as Walbro currently has on the GSS342 pump.
For specific recommendations with your exact setup, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Edit on May 1st, 2011:
This position has been filled. Thank you for all of the applicants who showed interest.
Last month we were invited to Sebring International Raceway by Momentum Performance to assist with some product testing. This was an extraordinarily kind gesture from an up and coming manufacturer to truly put their product through the paces. Four different cars, with varying levels of power and modifications, were present, full of gas and ready for us to give it our all.
The focus of the day was the Single Turbo Kit to be released for the Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35 coupe. These kits were installed on three of the four cars, and despite hours upon hours of track time, they never seemed to fatigue. Momentum’s claim is to produce track-ready products that can actually survive and thrive at even the harshest tracks, such as Sebring. They have succeeded on their claims.

With 2011 now in full swing and the Tokyo Auto Salon just around the corner, plenty of new wheel designs are surfacing for our viewing pleasure. Please note that not all of these wheels will be immediately available, but it does provide a taste of what is soon to come!
Rays is introducing an all-new Volk G12 wheel, which fits in line with the existing Volk G2, G7, and G10 styles. This 12-spoke design will be available in popular 19-20″ sizes for most Japanese and German applications. We’re looking forward to seeing it in some aggressive fitments!
Gram Lights already has a 57Ultimate wheel design, but these two new colors for the “DC Spec” are sure to be popular among those vying for the cutting edge. The RBC Red and RBC Blue colors will definitely be showcased on many drift cars this season.
Enkei debuted several classic styled wheels at SEMA last Fall, but this time around their focus is on modern cars again. After the initial success of the PF01, Enkei now plans to offer a PF01R variant with a deep dish lip. A variety of fitments will be offered to include this new lip style, particularly for cars that require high offsets, which typically prevents any significant lip.
Work has never had a shortage of wheel styles available, and 2011 looks like it will be no different. Already there are 3 brand new styles available. The first to be released was the 11RFT, a lightweight version of the existing 11R. These will be available in many popular sizes, and for the first time, in a highly desirable 18×10.5 size.
Work is perhaps most known for their Meister series, and they have just doubled their offering for Meister styles this year. The all-new S1R and M1R feature the same multi-piece design and highly customizable fitments as the classic Meister S1. Currently, these are slated for 18″ fitment only.
Please contact us directly for any specific availability or pricing inquiries. We will strive to add formal information on these new wheels to our catalog just as soon as that information is presented.
As we begin to close out 2010 and get started with a fresh 2011, we will have a few small schedule changes over the next two weeks.
- Friday, December 24th: Christmas Eve. Our office will be closed and order fulfillment will be completed on Monday, the 27th. UPS will deliver as normal.
- Friday, December 31st: New Year’s Eve. Our office will be closed and order fulfillment will be completed on Monday, the 3rd. UPS will deliver air packages, but no ground shipments will be delivered.
All deliveries, regardless of scheduled delivery date, may experience some delays this season. For time-sensitive needs, please contact us ahead of time to discuss options that will suit you best.
We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday season this year!
